Ultramarine Blue

Known as a synthetic inorganic, Ultramarine Blue is basically a blue colored pigment of sodium alumina silicate having sulphur. It is developed by heating kaolin, sulphur and other ingredients together and processing takes place in 20-25 days. Heat and alkali resistant, this pigment is widely used in rubber, inks, detergents, cosmetics, textile, paper etc. Usually it is used for increasing the brightness in white cotton clothes and to impart blue color to plastics and rubber in several industries. It is used as a brightener since it does not fade away under sunlight or extreme heat conditions.

Properties:

  • High resistance towards temperature and extreme heat
  • Color remains stable and intact even at 350 degree Celsius
  • High resistance towards alkali but poor resistance towards acids
  • Skin friendly and smooth on clothes
